Widget size on the home screen grid

The home screen grid is 24 columns wide, which is why defaultWidth and minWidth accept values from 1 to 24. Height is measured in grid rows and has no upper limit.

Omit a size property to inherit the value of the component type:

Component typeDefault width × heightMinimum width × height
panel, section-title, static-text6 × 34 × 3
summaries8 × 46 × 3
api-chart, chart, wordcloud8 × 56 × 4
api-table12 × 68 × 6

Component types that are not in the table inherit the panel values.

A minimum you set yourself also raises the inherited default. For example, minWidth: 10 on a summaries widget with no defaultWidth produces a default width of 10 instead of 8.
