To facilitate collaboration, you can enable the activities card for your objects. Activities allow you to:

  • Leave comments and discuss issues with your teammates.
  • Track all changes made to the object.

This component is available for all object types.

Commenting

Commenting on objects is a crucial feature which allows users to engage, provide feedback, and enhance collaboration.

Add a comment

  1. Scroll down the page to the Activities section, and enter your text in the Add a comment… box.
  2. [Optional] Select up to three tags (Comment, Issue, Question) for your comment to help organize and visually differentiate the topics. If no tag is selected, the Comment tag will be chosen automatically.
  3. Click Send or press Enter to post your comment.
Tip
  • To start a new line within the same comment, press Shift + Enter to create a soft break.
  • Unselect a tag by clicking the.

Edit a comment

  1. Hover over your comment, and click the  icon. Keep in mind that you can only edit your own comments.
  2. Make the necessary changes, and click Save or press Enter. You will receive a notification confirming your edit.
Tip

If you want to cancel the edit, simply click anywhere outside the editing area.

Reply to a comment

  1. Hover over a comment or an existing reply, and click the arrow icon.
  2. Type your reply and click Send or press Enter. Replies can only have the Comment tag.
Tip
  • To view replies, you can also click the reply count under the comment.
  • If you want to collapse the reply box or boxes, simply refresh the page!

Delete a comment

  1. Hover over your comment, and click the trash can .
  2. Confirm the deletion. Keep in mind that you can only delete your own comments.
  3. You will receive a notification confirming the successful deletion.

Other actions

  1. Mention users: Mention colleagues (@username) in your comment to notify them.
  2. Express approval or disagreement: Click thumbs up or thumbs down under a comment and view the number of people who voted on the comment.
  3. Click on usernames: Get redirected to a page listing a user’s contributions within the platform.

Tracking changes

On the Activities card, click the Changes tab.

Here, you can:

  • Check who made the change
  • Track what attribute or component was changed
  • See when the change was made
  • Compare the versions

You can also see the list of changes by clicking the three dots  in the top-right of your object page and selecting Changes.

Compare historical versions

  1. Click Show version of your selected change. Here, you can check the object’s state to the selected date.
  2. In the top-left of your screen, click Compare this version and select:
    1. Actual version: Compare with the most up-to-date version.
    2. History version: Select one of the other available history versions from the calendar.
    3. Releases: Compare with previous releases.
  3. Click Choose.
  4. All differences will be marked in green.
Tip

If object numbering is enabled, the historical order will not be preserved. Only the current order/numbering will be displayed.

Revert changes

To revert changes:

  1. Click Revert to this version located on the far right of the change.
  2. A window will appear showing the value the attributes are being reverted to for confirmation.
  3. Click Revert version to confirm the change.

It is possible to revert changes of the following:

  • Attributes
  • Relations
  • User relations
Tip

Reverting changes is possible only to user with permissions:

  • To make changes in the current workflow state and
  • To make changes to the specific attribute or relation Please note that changes to comments, workflow states, other values added by other users, and read-only values cannot be reverted.
