License roles

One of the features the pricing depends on, is the number of license roles. Each license is assigned to a specific Dawiso user.

In Dawiso, there are two types of license roles available.

License roleDescription
ViewerThis license role allows users to access content shared with them. Viewers can also comment on the content and promote it within the platform.
ContributorThis license role grants users higher permission levels than Viewers. Contributors can create and manage data within SW2, including creating objects, editing object attributes, relations, and roles, and changing workflow states. Contributor license is also assigned to users with the Dawiso Administrator user role.

License usage

Licenses are allocated and utilized according to the user management system in place.

  • Native user management: Licenses are assigned to users defined within the user management section of Dawiso.
  • Integrated user management (e.g., using Microsoft Entra ID): Licenses are assigned based on the synchronization of user roles or user groups.
    • If the number of users exceeds the number of purchased licenses, the excess users will not be assigned a license.

Usernames can be updated with each synchronization.

To see the overview of your licenses, go to profile settings > General > Licenses.

Here, you can find a clear summary of your active licenses, including the type of plan, activation dates, and duration of each license.
