Advanced configuration covers settings for automation, data ingestion, lineage, packages, and templates.

Automation rules

Automation rules automate actions in Dawiso — notifications, attribute changes, workflow transitions, and more — based on triggers you define. For the full reference on triggers, streams, and actions, see Automation Rules.

Every change made by an automation rule is recorded in its audit log. On the Settings > Automation > Audit Logs page, you’ll find the changelog for your automation rules — click a log ID for more details on the process.

Data ingestion

Data ingestion brings metadata from your source systems into Dawiso. The process starts with a connector — a shared or private connection to a platform. From a connector, you create a source: a metadata application configured against a specific database, schema, or dataset. Once a source runs, its ingestion job scans and imports the metadata, and — for platforms that support it — data flow parsing extracts lineage from the source’s SQL scripts and queries.

See Data ingestion for the full concept overview.

Lineage

Manual mapping is one of the ways Dawiso derives data lineage, alongside platform ingestion, development frameworks, and script parsing. Use Lineage configuration to map spaces and applications by lineage method, map lineage assets to each other, and manage the pool of available assets.

Packages

  • Marketplace: Browse, install, and manage standard Dawiso products.
  • Resources: Configure and manage packages installed in your environment. See Working with Packages.
  • Data packages: Export product tours into a data package and move them between environments.
