Guided tours are interactive walkthroughs that introduce Dawiso features directly in the app. A tour highlights one element on the page at a time and explains what it does, step by step.
Start a tour
If a tour is configured in your environment:
- In the top-right corner, click the Help button.
- In the Tours & guides section, find the tour you want to take.
- Click Start (or Restart for a tour you have already taken).
Dawiso opens the page where the tour begins and starts the first step.
The Tours & guides section shows:
- Every available tour with its state: Completed, In progress, Ended early, or Not started.
- A progress summary, such as “2 of 5 completed”.
- A note that every tour can be restarted anytime.
Follow the steps
Each step highlights an element on the page and explains it. The progress bar shows your position in the tour, such as “Step 2 of 5”.
On every step, you can:
- Click Next to continue.
- Click Skip step to move on without completing the current step.
- Click End tour, or press the Escape key, to leave the tour. The tour is marked as Ended early in the Help menu, and you can restart it anytime.
Action steps
Some steps ask you to perform the real action instead of clicking Next. For example, click the highlighted button or type into the highlighted field. The step displays “Waiting for your action…” and the Next button stays disabled until you perform the action. Completing the action moves the tour to the next step.
Steps for elements not on your screen
When a step points to an element that is not available on your current screen, Dawiso displays a centered preview card with media instead. The card’s caption reads “Preview — this element is not on your screen”. If the step has no preview media, Dawiso skips the step automatically and continues with the next one.
Continue with the next tour
Tours can be chained. When you finish a tour that has a follow-up, the final card offers it — click Start tour to continue with the next tour immediately.
Administrators can disable guided tours for the whole environment. When disabled, tours do not start and the Tours & guides section is hidden from the Help menu. For more information, see Configuration.
