Metamodel Admin gives administrators a single, searchable view of everything that defines a Dawiso instance’s structure: applications, object types, attribute types, relations, domains, workflows, and more. Every screen is a filterable, sortable table, so questions like “which object types use this attribute type” no longer require a direct database query.
Metamodel Admin requires administrator permissions.
Open Metamodel Admin
- On the Settings page, navigate to the Packages section and click Metamodel Admin.
Metamodel Admin opens on Applications. The left sidebar lists every other screen, grouped as described below.
Applications and object types
| Screen | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Applications | Every application in the instance. Select one to open its detail view, with tabs for the application’s Object Types, Attribute Types, and Features. |
| Object Types | Every object type across all applications. Select one to open its detail view, with tabs for Overview, Attributes, Domains, Features, Graph Levels, Relations, and User Relations. |
| Attribute Types | Every attribute type in the instance, including how many object types currently use each one. |
| Domains, Code Table Values, Components, Pages, Search | The building blocks that object and attribute types reference. |
Relations
Object Type Relations, Relation Type Categories, Relation Types, and User Relation Types list how object types and users connect to each other across the metamodel.
Hierarchies and graph metamodels
Hierarchies lists every parent-child hierarchy definition. Graph Metamodels lists the relation types available on knowledge graph and lineage diagrams.
Workflows
Workflows, Workflow States, and Workflow Transition Triggers list every workflow definition in the instance: its states, and what triggers move an object from one state to another.
Appearance and translations
Colors and Icons list the palettes available to object types. Translations lists every translation key and its value per language.
Platform configuration also lists icons and colors, and is where you add a language or edit a translation. The Metamodel Admin versions add the same filtering and package attribution as every other screen here, rather than the simpler picker view meant for choosing an icon or color while configuring a space or package.
Settings
The Settings screen lists every configuration key (MrSetting) in the instance, its current value, and which package, if any, set it. Use it to confirm whether a feature flag is on without checking the database.
Checking where something is used
Several screens show a usage count alongside each item, for example how many object types reference a given attribute type. Check this before changing or removing that item anywhere else in Dawiso, since the count reflects every current reference across the metamodel.
Metamodel Admin is read-only. To change the metamodel itself, use the object type, attribute type, or workflow editing tools elsewhere in Dawiso, or update it through a package.
